Holistic Driver Behavior is a mobile application that evaluates driving patterns using telematics and AI. It translates raw trip data into structured, visual feedback to help drivers build safer habits, reduce risk, and improve driving efficiency.
Client Requirement
The client wanted to transform a data-dense telematics feed into a human-centered, behavior-change-driven UX. The product needed to clearly communicate performance metrics like speed, braking intensity, and idling duration while embedding motivational design patterns to encourage long-term safe driving habits. It was critical to minimize cognitive load, maintain clarity across different contexts of use (in-car and post-trip), and design an experience that motivates without overwhelming.
Our Solution
We designed a multi-layered experience architecture that catered to both quick-glance insights and deeper behavioral analysis. The interaction design prioritized thumb-friendly touch zones, predictable navigation patterns, and cognitive mapping cues so users could easily recall where to find information. The visual hierarchy was refined to highlight the most actionable metrics first, while keeping supporting data discoverable but unobtrusive.

Visual Identity
We created a clear and consistent design system to help turn complex driver data into something easy to understand and act on. Using simple colors like green for good driving and red for risky behavior, users can quickly see how they’re doing. The Inter font keeps all the text readable, even when there’s a lot of information. We also designed reusable screen elements so everything feels familiar across the app, from trip summaries to the driver score dashboard. This design system makes the app feel clean, easy to use, and motivating for drivers to improve.
Final Output
The user experience converts complex telemetry into a clear behavioral narrative. Drivers can now instantly gauge performance, review specific improvement areas, and track progress over time through an emotionally engaging interface. With reduced friction, clear visual affordances, and motivational micro-interactions, the app not only informs but actively drives behavioral change, fostering safer roads and more confident drivers.
