The client wanted a refreshed, modern design across a multi-actor ecosystem while preserving existing mental models for staff and customers. They needed clearer task flows for servers, faster ordering journeys for customers, and visibility for kitchen staff and managers. Reducing training time, preventing order errors, and supporting role-based permissions in a multi-device environment were critical.

Our Solution

We designed a multi-layered experience architecture that aligned floor-level operations with customer-facing simplicity. The interaction design emphasized ergonomics for servers, minimal cognitive steps for customers, and readable visual hierarchies for kitchen staff. We validated flows with paper prototypes, mid-fidelity mockups, and moderated usability tests, then refined micro-interactions and error states to reduce rework and speed up task completion.
